![]() Hit back of the raritan saturday afternoon couple hours before top of the tide and 90 min of the outgoing. Fished jig head and gulp swimming mullets and caught 8 fish. Couple postage stamps, couple 17.75s and misc shorts but managed 3 keepers at 18, 18.5 and 18.5". My 1st shore limit of the season.
It was very slow and the fish were just laying on the jig with no fierce strikes. Lotta small bait starting to move around in the back... a good sign for the rest of the season. The fish I kept were fat and loaded with blue crabs and very large shrimp. Sink shot before the knife... catch em up!

![]() Yea, from like quarter to half dollar sized. The crabs were fairly active that afternoon. Bunch of small ones swimming all over and a few near keeper sized ones hitching a ride on my jig.
But the fluke were pretty packed with them...
