![]() Had another good day for yellowfin a bit east of the triple wrecks. Left on a friends 24 Parker. Actually my first time in a Parker. Cuddie cabin. Single yamaha 225. I was impressed. Left barnegat inlet at 4 ish. 3 hours later... boats and whales. Dropped the jig hooked up on a butterfly. Snapped my 30lb. Floro leader. My fault. No more jig bites as I expected thats my penalty. Went 2 for 2 on the chunk after that tho. All in all we we batted .500 at 3 for 6. For the boat. Great day. Home by 5. Thanks for a great day Dave and Doug.

![]() That one picture looked like you're standing next to a tuna or marlin tower? That's one hell of a 24 foot Parker?

![]() I've fished on a 23 parker more than a few times. I am a fan of the boat and it was roomy. If you are thinking of running it offshore though it can pound when the seas kick up. It's not a bad hull, it is solely that running offshore is not the primary purpose of that model.

![]() My father ran a 25 cuddy buncha years back. We made several runs from Montauk to the fish tails day tripping tuna and mahi. We only ran on extended fair forecasts.
Yes, they pound. But they're sturdy vessels.

![]() Parkers can take more than their owners can
![]() The pilots seem to ride a little harder since the helm is so far forward. The Walk Around Cuddy the helm sits further back so smoother ride. They had 2 different hulls when I was looking... A modified V with a 16 degree dead rise or a deep V with 21 dead rise. The deep V is the one you want if you're fishing the ocean.

![]() The Parker 2320SL with a F250 and correct prop/tabs is not a bad ride. You can't do 25 kts in a 3-4' sea but it can take the punishment. I did install a Pro Pedestal Shock Absorber on the helm seat. Makes all the difference in the world and not too expensive.
