Looks like crap...
Not fresh - poorly handled I’d rather eat a fresh Bergall or sea robin or anything I caught and know where it’s been |

Bergall is delicious. One of my favorite fish to eat.

Re: You throw back 15" short fluke?
Last year I was out on a trip and began catching large bergalls (12-14 inches). I kept a few, and you are right. Delicious!

Majority of that will just go bad and be tossed into the dumpster.

Re: You throw back 15" short fluke?
Wouldn't buy them like others have mentioned but those aren't the sizes that bother me. It's the 18" to 20" prime sizes being sold to restaurants that are drawing greater market prices and killing the fishery. This time of year commercial operators aren't traveling further distances off shore to harvest 15" fish. Most fish that size end up white side up on the ocean's floor for lobsters to feed on.
