Default Saturday in the surf--Brigantine

Spent most of yesterday fishing the beach in Brigantine with NO takers...surf was calm and crystal clear..later in the afternoon tried the Atlantic city jetty which has a major renovation project making access difficult.. caught lotsa shepshead and small sea bass on shrimp...left at about 6pm with my dinner in hand and did much better in the Borgata casino $$$$$...all in all it was a nice day...see ya all later, Ramie

Hey Robbie what were you throwing in Brig? Surprised you didn’t hook up. Kingfish have been thick as fleas.

were you on jetty or North End by the Sea wall..Last time I was down the beach was a parking lot. Spring was great on the Jetty, SP Minnows were hot. Hoping for repeat performance this Fall. Had success last Auguest with worms on jetty for kings and spot, just haven't tried this year. Would love to bend the rod in next two weeks.

I was on the inlet side between Atlantic City and Brigantine on the AC jetty by Ocean One. That jetty is under a major reconstruction project. It is tough going due to the huge rocks all over the place and the center portion of the jetty is gone..being rebuilt..they reconstructed all north end jetties too and real tough to get to them..boardwalk is re done too...all is real nice for the tourists but not us fishermen...from the boardwalk to get to the jetty is hazardous!!! You need to be a "rock climber"!!! I did manage to get onto one of those jetties but no luck...years ago(3 or so) did real well from the AC jetty--huge stripers, bluefish and a good amount of decent sea bass now nothing...

Hi guys, Im new here but looks like a great site. I have my boat in Brigantine but Sunday I went to the beach and fished. Caught 15 kingfish. Other people were shark fishing and they had action. One family had 6 browns . All between 3 and 5 feet.
