Re: Turks and Caicos - Anyone Fish There?
I have been there twice although I did not fish. I went there to snorkel. The water is crystal clear. It is paradise! There will be guides on Grand Turk that will take you out. There is also a really cool outdoor museum for the US space program, as this is where the astronauts splashed down. There is also a Margaritaville with a really cool pool / bar. The beaches are also pristine. Very layed back area!

Re: Turks and Caicos - Anyone Fish There?
Just took a trip there in October. Did a half day bonefish trip and caught several on spinning gear. I stayed away from the offshore stuff as the prices were a little absurd, but it seemed as though there were alot of options in terms of pelagics in addition to the amazing flats fishing.
I used Catch the Wave charters and thought it was good, not great (wrote a tripadvisor review of the guy, feel free to PM me if you'd like the link). Are you staying on Provo? Can give you some other general observations/ lessons from the trip if so. You're going to love it down there. |

Re: Turks and Caicos - Anyone Fish There?
Didn’t fish when we visited Provo, but the bonefishing is supposed to be good. Prices are definitely crazy for offshore trips as well like was said by previous posts.
If you want any other non fishing tips I’d be happy to share, nice island to visit for sure. |

Re: Turks and Caicos - Anyone Fish There?
Was there about 12 years ago . Stayed at Beaches resort . Brought a fly rod and had some Intel on 2 saltwater " lakes " there that had bonefish and went there a few times . Caught some small jacks , cudas and snappers and had shots at bonefish but no hookups first couple tries . Last day got into some nice bonefish . I have heard since then they may have changed the regs though and now require a liscence to fish from shore. Charter prices were steep but bonefish were very plentiful from reports I heard. There are also some flats on the ocean side by the lakes that are wade able . Scuba diving there was incredible as well
