Default Stinger hooks for fluke

I would like to tie up some stinger hooks to put on bucktails. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I pre-tie 4/0 Gamagatsu hooks with about a 4-5inch piece of 20lb test mono to the eye of the bucktail then tie my main line to the bucktail and then a teaser about 18 inches above. I’ll use either a strip bait or a 5 inch gulp grub. I don’t like the assist hooks because they have heavy Dacron and I feel it is to much drag on the strip bait and does not give the strip bait a natural flow in the current like a thin piece of mono. I started using stinkers hooks about 8 years ago on my bucktails and my hook up ratio easily doubled.

Just snell hooks with 30# braid , surgeons loop one end , snelled hook other , just loop around primary hook , Indidnt mean to use actual tuns set ups
Another method for bait just use sliding snells , u can adjust to bait length , this is with mono

I make these and use a 200lb test kevlar with 4/0 or 5/0 bait hooks which allows for the second hook to stay in line with first on the jig. This keeps your longer strip baits, squid, belly, salmon, etc. from twisting. When the fish are on short bite and hitting tail ned of the bait, it def. produces more hook ups...my .02

I will use a stinger on my teaser baits when they fish are short biting.
BUT IMO when they hit a bucktail they eat it.
I find a bucktail swims way more natural without the assist hook on it.
