Default Elk's

Anyone have any intel on status of Elk's tomorrow with the impending weather forecast. I know it's a rain or shine event but weather / wind look pretty ominous. Just curious if anyone has any insight? TIA!

What I know as of now is that they are going to run the tournament even if its bumper boats in the river. That could change at the Captains meeting but doubtful.
Shame as this is supposed to be a fun day not dangerous. Looks like river fishing for a lot of smaller boats and even the big boys based on the forecast. Maybe a small ocean side window in the am if nothing changes.
Going to make our call around 8PM

If you plan on fishing the river tomorrow for the tournament do you still need to go through the inlet for the start ?

I think their may be a decent weather window up until noon.
after that its going to get FUGLY.

Not fishing the Elks, like the Gran Pa tourney WAY better, ( they postponed their tourney until next Saturday to not put anyone in harms way)

.
Possibly a four pounder could pay big bucks at PP tomorrow..

My Buddy eddie and I fished today, from 6-noon. ocean was very fishable.
drift was .8 to 1.1 all morning, water crystal clear.

But the fish def didn't want to chew , we had half dozen shorts and one keeper fluke and one big knucklehead. few sea robins.

.
tried fishing shark river after noon and the drift there was 1.8 and sea weed everywhere made fishing there a waste of time.
