IMPORTANT ALERT
There is an important Sea Bass meeting Thursday in Galloway N.J. that could impact another closure for us in June. As of now, we have overfished our Sea Bass quota. They want to open the Season in February for a few boats. If they open the Sea Bass season in February, it will effect June's quota and we will lose days in June. In the past two years, we have lost over two weeks of our spring fishing season. WE CAN NOT AFFORD TO LOSE ANY MORE OF OUR SPRING/SUMMER FISHING SEASON, SINCE THIS IS WHEN MOST OF US ARE FISHING. NOT FEBRUARY!
I encourage all of you private boaters and small charter boats to attend this meeting and voice your opinion.
LETS BE FAIR AND HONEST ABOUT THIS, THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE FISHING IN THE SPRING/SUMMER THAN THERE ARE IN FEBRUARY!
MEETING PLACE: GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP LIBRARY
306 EAST JIMMY LEEDS RD
GALLOWAY NJ 08205
TIME: 4:00PM

I couldn’t agree with you more Capt. Sounds real fair to open it for less than 1% of the fishermen so they can take even more away from the other 99%. And if they do open it in February, you can almost guarantee that they will say it was over fished and screw us even harder later in the season.

Agreed. Why open in February for a couple of boats and give up summer when we can all have a piece of the pie. F the winter, open in May.
Fu**ing nonsense!
