Reel Class Friday 8/11 Flukin'
We sailed with a full 6 man crew today for a full day open fluke trip.
We had a much tougher time today with the fluke and a lot of it had to do with conditions. No drift most of the morning followed by a very fast drift after like 1030 due to the S wind.
At best we'd pick just a few fish each drift, with a keeper coming up every few fish. Not a whole lot of shorts today, no more than 30. Best drift keeper was just 2.
With all of that said we still put a decent catch together finishing a few shy of the 6 man crews limit --- uncle mike Michael Welger was on fire boating 7 ks and bill also had his limit. 8 of our fish were in the 4-7# range and mike had 3 over 5# with the biggest going 6.5#.
