October Crappies

Usually in October I would be deer hunting this is the first time in 30 years Im not. Since my back got injured in April at this point I couldn't drag a deer out of the woods. Im not complaining I have come very far and im not in any pain. Well today me and my 29 yr old son went Crappie fishing. All I can say is wow. It was as good as any spring trip. We met at sunrise and it was game on. One thing I know is when I can hunt again I will definitely make time for crappie fishing in October. Im very blessed
