Default Long Beach Island Question

Hey guys,

I am interested in fishing Long Beach Island. Not looking to spot burn or anything, but I'm wondering what the parking situation is. Do I need a permit or anything? Is there anywhere that's off limits? Can I fish at any of the beaches? Are the inside and ocean side equally as accessible? Thanks in advance.

Most of the beaches on LBI are open to fishing when the Life guards are off duty. There are some exceptions. Check with the local authorities for beaches that are open to fishing during bathing hours. There are a few.
Parking on the side streets is allowed but sometimes difficult this time of year. No parking permits required. Be careful not to block access to local homes.
Ocean side is typically more accessible for fishing.
Good King fishing by the groins and jetties.
You can also take the ride to Barnegat Light House and fish the inlet. Good fluking and blue fishing at the moment. Plenty of free parking.

Good luck.

Try the area in Surf City around 23rd street. I've had a lot of luck there.
