Default Passaic River Trolling

Got my buddies small boat in the water with my battery and trolling motor and was excited to do some exploring in new spots. I must say, from 8 years of passaic pike fishing I have neverseen the river so cloudy. All I can think of is the tree pollen being the factor. We fished for hours. Had a playful baby goose come up to the boat who we had to put back to shore. I was scared it was going to be a big pikes lunch.. Probably after 100 casts I landed a nice thick 30 inch pike. That was it for the day. Always an adventure. We need the water to clear.

Nice fish man! Yeah the water is definitely cloudy. I was out this am and only had one fish in the mid-20" range. Maybe we need a good rain to flush the system.

Carp are the culprits. They are stirring it up and since the flow is low, its not really clearing very fast. Its always an issue. Really hoping for a Carp flu to wipe them out as they are useless.
