Thumbs up Lower South Branch 6 mile float 4/12/15:

Floated with Wilson from Camp Carr to Darts Mill. Easy 6 mile stretch hoping to find some trout off the beaten path. Didn't find any fish but did see many anglers along the way, especially around the Stanton Station area. We were polite and didn't "Jersey" any of the anglers fishing off the banks or standing in the river. Levels were really low, I think the water company is pumping water from Hamden Road to fill up either Spruce Run or Round Valley. Tried to get a photo of the crazy bug hatch that was going on. No bend in the rods today, we stunk it up pretty good but it was nice to be back out on the water again. Only saw 1 tire the entire 6 mile float

Beautiful day for a boat ride, anyway. Next time!

Man, that water is real low in comparison to the DR a couple of miles away, high and brown, makes for some nice cruising though on a great day.

Kinda suprised ya got no love below 31 before darts???
Were ya fishin low and slow ? or high and fast wit spinners?
Theres also a few spots not far from carr that can ONLY be reached by boat that ALWAYS produce??
Very strange, but if you were high and fast , that could explain that..

And ur good luck charm ,Wilson got no love from da fizzes either??wow
