Default Mono to braid knot, really easy and strong

Shared this on FB page....This knot, known as FG is super easy to tie, I really like how thin it is for easier feed through the rod guides. Quoted as being a very strong knot so worth a shot......

Been using this knot for two years. I recommend you put a drop of superglue on the half-hitches and wipe off immediately.

This is a good knot always has been for offshore preparation but on the quick n easy style I'll always prefer the a style of knot that u can put together in under 30 seconds & if u always double ur braid u won't be prone to breaking off anything shy of tuna & really not even them .
This knot shown is designed for big game on light tackle not required for most bottom or inshore applications
Always if u can run some knot sense over knot to fill in gaps especially if u wind ld over braid .
This may not increase knots strength but it'll pass thru guides easier ! Even then if u re rig on boat u will, not want to worry about this !!

I tried it a few times and the mono keeps slipping..not sure what I am doing wrong. The half hitch goes over both braid and tag end of mono?

You're wrapping each wrap around itself alternating lines and then pulling it down on the wraps. Shouldn't slip

Here's another one that's similar. I was going to try it this year. I think I'll tie both & see which one I like better.
