![]() Hi all,
Planning a bachelor party in the spring in New Orleans and was hoping to tap into anyone that has fished in either Venice LA or Gulfport MS....both look like they are about 75-90 minute drives out of NOLA. Thanks in advance for any guidance! VinoGuy |

![]() I've fished out of Venice many years ago on several occassions. Offshore only very good for a variety of species.
I believe Capt Ralph on LL goes to Mississippi every year , might give him a call |

![]() If your looking to inshore fish, I'd recommend the Barataria Bayou around Lafitte. Much closer and the fishing is just as good.
I fished both Venice and Barataria on the same trip and did much better in Barataria but that was a few years ago and only one trip. |

![]() More reliable charter boats in Venice. If you are really serious I'll get you a recommended list. I personally fish out of Ocean Springs, MS on a friend who no longer charters. When we fish offshore many times we are fishing alongside Venice boats. Timing is very important as they have regs on fish just like us. Email me or call for more info.

![]() You can ask Ralph "Last Lady" if he is on his recommended list, but look up Brian Epstein, I think he still charters down there. If he is anything like he was when he ran boats in NJ, he will know, how to catch fish and where a bachelor party should go, around NOLA

![]() Call Venice Sportmans Lodge. Capt Dan. They have an awesome set up for all inclusive experience right there in the Marina. He can hook you up with a charter and you stay right there in their lodge. Food and booze included.
