Best tool brand for compounding and waxing?
Got fed up with the orbital buffer I ve used for years and looking to get a variable speed waxer and buffer. Just curious as to what brand you guys prefer and have lasted the longest?
Thanks in advance!! Last edited by Irish Jigger; 10-24-2014 at 06:04 PM.. |

Re: Best tool make for compounding and waxing
Check out Griot's Garage web site.
Best of Everything to do with polishing and waxing.

Re: Best tool make for compounding and waxing
I've had my makita since 2000 and I'm happy with it. It's a rotary machine, not sure if you're looking to make the switch. If you're not I second the griots garage. Seems to be a quality piece.

Re: Best tool make for compounding and waxing
The Porter Cable 7424 is a random orbit buffer-polisher that is standard issue for car freaks. Mine is used a lot - 4 cars and 2 boats - and is going strong after 20 years.
