Caught most on this popper, think I caught 6 in four hours and missed a few more. On one I thought I made a bad cast so I reeled in fast, just as I was lifting out of the water a bass surfed on top for about a foot trying to grab it.

Many people will recognize the lake from the first pic. Unless you have a super secret body of water I think that spot burning thing is nonsense. The state tells everyone where the fish are anyway. Fishing is not rocket science you gotta go and you gotta throw. Just know the seasonal patterns and figure out if they want it on top, in the middle or on the bottom. And they're either biting or they're not. I fish the exact same spots every time I fish this lake, sometimes I catch fish at a particular spot but most times I don't. There you have it, the secret of fishing.

Nobody believes in spot burning until they see Jose and Vladimir loading a bucket full of bass into their car. Then they wish those bucket-sitters weren't aware of their lake.

Nice catch. I'd rather bag 6 bass like that than twenty 10-12 inchers.
