Default Where should I go next Wednesday?

In Middlesex County. Have a Scanoe with a small outboard. Willing to travel up to a hour. So any thoughts on where I should head to?

You could try Carnegie Lake. It's electric only, real easy to launch from the parking lot, and it's basically a river lake setup. So you can go a long way up and down it with never being too far from shore. It is actually where the Princeton University Crew Team practices. I've had good luck a few years ago with LM and Crappie there. It's a pretty neat place.

Good luck.

Farrington is a cool place. Can be tough to fish but there's some big bass, pickerel and pike in there. It's right in between Milltown and East Brunswick. There's a launch by the Church Ln. bridge. Not sure if it's electric only. Carnegie is a neat place too, but as mentioned the rowers can be a pain.

Farrington is definitely electric only. Westons Mill Pond is smaller and just downstream of there if you want a smaller body of water to explore. Davidsons Mill Pond is upstream of Farrington and is even smaller.

The D&R canal is worth exploring, and your boat sounds like an ideal setup. Many places to put in, so look on a map and take your pick.

Mercer Lake in West Windsor is an interesting impoundment... it can be a challenge at times to figure out the fish, but there are some big ones in there and it has some delightful backwater areas to explore in a scanoe.

Farrington x2. Electric only. Just as catfish said, big fish in there. Work the pads with big stuff this time of year i.e. 5+" senkos, 1/2 oz spinnerbaits, jigs, etc. I've had lots of success in there. It's one of my favorite local spots although I've never seen a pike pulled outta there--only big slime darts. I know they're stocked in there but still yet to see one.
