Default River with a scanoe

Hey all. I dont post much. But always looking. Def great advice and stories on here. Anyway had a question. Not trying to get anyones honey hole but would like some advice. I have a scanoe with a small electric outboard. Ive never floated a river around here (MIDDLESEX). Ive done the water gap way up north at barryville and love it. Any advice for something like that around here? Im gonna head out Wednesday. I need to beable to launch and retrive from the same spot. Im guessing bass, pike, pickerel? Any help would be appreciated. Im thinking Raritan or D&R.

Not many places to launch and go back to on the Raritan, the water moves pretty good, your best bet would be the D&R canal.

The Millstone maybe? You can try to find those mythical pike.

You shouldn't have too much trouble on the Passiac during a normal flow. Just watch out for downed trees. Power up stream from from what ever launch you decide.

Check this site, all solid launches.
