Default Sunday withe the Zag. bros.

Was invited out by the flying zagorski brothers on Sunday for a day of offshore fluking. It's always a pleasure fishing with Joey and Gerry! The laughs are non stop. The fishing was an improvement (for some of us). I ended the day with four keepers. I would have had my first jersey limit if the haters who weren't catching didn't knock a fish or two off my line. Those who weren't catching got a little jealous and didn't want to see me limit. All in very good fun! My biggest was around six pounds, my biggest of the season so far.

I only lost two rigs, but by the time Joey the fish was done, somehow I went thru a gazzillion. I will see Sam this week to reload.

A good day of fishing with great people! Gerry and Joey, thanks again. Had a blast!

Great to have you out Shrimpy... You certainly put on a show and had us all talking to ourselves....

Brother Joe must have lost a dozen bucktails and I think I saw George's boat and all his fishing equipment on Craig's list

Man.... "As Fluke Fishermen we suck..... And this will never change"

Catch of the day happened while we were out by the TC waiting for enough water to get into Leonardo... We finally decide to head to the barn and a guy and his wife in a jetski boat starts waving from the bow. We approach him, asked if he called the coast guard or Seatow only to find out he has no radio. The wife seemed very scared so we towed them into Leonardo.

Got back into the dock and the guy thanked us and asked if he could give us some money for gas... Told him politely to take that money and buy a radio and get some towing insurnace.

A quick story as to why you should always have a VHF radio and an anchor with enough line onboard no matter what type of boat you are on...

A freind of mine who will remain nameless was waterskiing with some friends inside Raritan Bay and they run out of fuel in the late afternoon. They throw the anchor over but do not have enough line to make it catch and were adrift for a long night with an outgoing tide.

Next morning about 6AM they wind up out by Ambrose in the shipping channels thinking they are lost at sea.... Lucky they are spotted by a commecial boat who called the Coast Guard for them.

This could have easily ended up very differently.
