![]() Thanks for all recommendations guys. I've been looking around and I really like the saltist star drag levelwind. I like the level wind feature but I need to ask what's probly a dumb question but with the lever drags you have to use your thumb to distrubte the line evenly on the spool correct? I've only ever used my levelwind lol

![]() Yes, but it comes almost natural and if you use a heavier power pro65-80 it will almost guide itself, and it's a lot easier winding in a top shot when your not trying to pass the top shot knot through the level winder as dropping , casting, or even coming in.

![]() I would go with a canyon reel. They are great. Love mine and the service is the best. You could use the new hs16 it has the muscle and speed to handle any cod. You could even jig tuna on it. Comes single or 2 speed. Sold all my avets and upgraded to these. Def. Check them out
