winter carp
found a beautiful stretch of the river today to fish now that the leaves are gone and you can scout from the road. gonna walk it later and throw at structure for toothy critters, was wondering how long the bottom beasts bite for.

Re: winter carp
I actually had some corn with me at the park recently. Let it soak for a while hoping for a carp while I was throwin for tout. Not a bite, but I'm not sure if that means they're done for the season......

Re: winter carp
the river's up near me and the few times I've checked I haven't seen any on the surface like I usually do.

Re: winter carp
They'll bite year round. You can even catch them through the ice but I don't target them because the big ones won't fit through an 8" auger hole.
