Default Thursday evening/night kayak fishing

I need to get a line wet. My weekends have been stuffed with other obligations, it’s obviously getting dark way earlier, so my only option is to do a mid-week evening drop-in and fish into the dark. Thursday lows are looking around low 50’s. As of right now I’m think Skunksille for the walleye possibility. Any other suggestions in North Jersey for some night time yak fishing? I’m leaving straight from work in Bergen County so an hours drive is not out of the question. If anyone wants to come along, PM me.

I may be going out in my buddy's boat tommorow night, but if it falls through, I'm down to join you. I'll throw you a PM and keep you posted.

The Yak is on the roof. Might be able to bust out of work early. Hit me up!

Had a change in plans and got out there last night instead. Fished from 6:30-10:00 and got the infamous Skunksville Skunking. Hooked into something on a big husky jerk but lost it after a quick run. My buddy got a small white perch and a small bullhead, nothing photo-worthy. Paddling back over some weedbeds, I spooked something BIG that splashed water on my face when I unexpectedly paddled over him. Didn't get a look at him though as I was cruising with the headlamp off. Good luck if you end up out there.

A little discouraging but I'm still gonna give it a shot off the south ramp. Where you trolling or casting when you had the run off?

Was casting at that point. Ive been there a total of about 10 hours this week fishing live bait on the bottom, jigging, trolling cranks, and tossing husky jerks with no luck...besides the baby Musky. Needless to say I have a love/hate relationship with that lake lol.

Fished the both sides of the south bay from 6 to 11. Threw husky's and cranks, jigged the weed edges, and trolled shad raps.

I'm never going back there again

until next time
