Default Places to Launch Kayak below Dundee Dam on the Passaic?

Does anyone know where I can launch a kayak on the Passaic River below but close to the Dundee Dam? There are a couple launch sites listed here ( http://www.nj.gov/pvsc/rr/Passaic%20...ail%20Plan.pdf ) that I found on link on the Passaic River Basin website. The two closest, the Garfield ramp is in a park under development, and Dundee Preserve in Clifton is listed as 'Proposed'. Hoping to try for a striper there this fall. Thanks.

Shoot me a PM but do you want to leave your car where you launch or are you going to just launch there and get picked up elsewhere?

It's very shallow and rocky for about a 1/4 mile under the dam. I tried launching the kayak there 2 years ago and it wasn't worth the work of having to get myself unwedged from rocks every 20 seconds. Stayed for about 20 minutes then made my way back to land and fished from the coastline. A much better area to fish from land/waders in my opinion, as you'll get a lot more quality casts in.

In Nutley right off Rt21 next to the Nutley/Lyndhurst bridge is a boat ramp. Easy access, easy parking and puts you right into Striper territory. That's what we've been using...just not at dead low tide, as the water drops passed the ramp and ends in mud.

Stopped over by the dam today on the Garfield side, and saw what you mean about shallow water/lousy kayak spot. Will try further down river if I make it over there for stripers, thanks to all for the info.
