![]() I bought an Okuma Stratus spinning reel at Dicks Sporting Goods about 3 years ago. It worked fine and was very smooth to reel. I opened it up to clean and re-grease, when I put it back together it keeps jamming up as I turn the handle. I lined up the marks on the main gear with the oscillating gear since the oscillating gear is oblong not round. Any suggestions how to make this work? Thanks.

![]() Thanks. This is a backup reel , agree it's not the best quality but sale price was good and it worked OK till I took it apart.

![]() If the reel was operating properly BEFORE you opened it up. Then you obviously put it back together wrong. I'm by no means an expert when it comes to spinners, so I'll defer any advice. Go to the alantani.com web site they have a spinning reel only forum. I'm certain someone there can get you back in working order. Good luck.
