Couple Recent Fish, and Big Thanks

Made it out twice the last couple days to harass some bass. Hit a north Jersey lake with pops on Sunday afternoon. Reports from the couple boats coming off the water weren't good. Couple dinks and a couple skunks. Still, we managed to boat a few. Best of the day was a 17/18" Larry for pops, and my only fish of the day, a nice thick 20" Smallie!

Yesterday I took a little journey out to an NJ lake I've yet to fish. First 30 mins I had a 2 smallies. One dink and one decent around 18". Fought great! Unfortunately, about an hour or two, and zero fish later, my motor decided to take the rest of the day off. Worst yet I was pretty much on the far side of the lake!! Started rowing back and just happen to be directly into the wind.

After about an hour I was lucky enough to have a young guy fishing with his family offer to give me a tow the rest of the way. It was hot and I was spent so to say I was appreciative is an understatement!! On the ride in he was telling me it was his first trip on his new boat. I laughed and told him it was my first time getting a tow. Also, they recognized me from the site and told me his father's a member, didn't catch his screen name though. So anyway, just wanted to say thanks again Luke and family!!

I know that kid...He's mine!!! Luke was so excited to tell me the story and how he was able to help. If you ever swing out our way again and want company, Luke is always ready. We only live 2 miles from the water.

Great story and a testament to the great group of people we have here...

I'm continually amazed how many people I meet, some who don't post but lurk here.
