RockBottom Wed Blackfish to 13LBS!

We made sure we got today's trip in because the rest of the week and weekend looks to be a complete blowout. It was a total grind today and took a ton of hard work and a full day from everyone. First stop it took a while for the first fish to come up and we only had 4 fish in a couple hours. The day got a little better from there though with a lot of moving around. Finally found a decent patch of fish later in the day and we were able to pick and pluck a ton of shorts and some keepers. Still got that really weird non-committing bite going on. But the hot ticket today was JIGS JIGS JIGS! Only had a couple using jigs and they out fished everyone except 1 guy with a rig. Bite died off and we decided to give it 15 more minutes to see if it would pick up. 5 minutes after that Ian hooks up and the fish won't get off the bottom. Dug and fought and gave him a real good battle. Fish came up and weighed in at 13lbs and at 26in long. Tried to release her but she just wouldn't go. Tried a few times. Big congrats to Ian with a new PB after he just got his PB of 11lbs last week! Wound up with 27 keepers. Tough day but glad to see a nice slob come aboard.
