Prowler5 - Fri., Nov. 25th, Tog Report
Hey gang, Capt. Scott here. I had the boat out again with Marko and Zavier. I was telling a few guys on the dock this morning that I didn't like the American flag at our marina limp - not a lick of wind. But, I did make three drops today on wrecks that I like and was able to get double anchors out on all three. We picked some nice keepers today but just not enough of them. First drop I thought we were going to catch them but they bit a little bit and then stopped. Second drop, I think we would have caught more there but the current was wacky. It was going up against the southerly breeze. Hard to catch them. Third drop, we had that wacky current again. Caught a few big sea bass on it, some nice keeper tog. I think maybe the second drop had the most blackfish come in of the day. But we left to try to find something better. I would rate the day as a few slow togging day after having three good blackfish trips. It's a shame, I had some good guys on the boat today and really wanted them to bite better. I know some people like when it's flat calm, with no wind. I hate it when it's like that for blackfishing. Good news, tomorrow's NW 20. Kind of like the conditions on the couple of days when they bit real good. So we're looking for better results for tomorrow. This will be my last report until Wednesday evening. I'm going to be a little busy tomorrow, running two trips... 7:30 to 2:30 and then the 3:30 to 9:00 for striped bass. As well as Sun., Mon., Tues. and Wed.'s trips. Here's a few pics from today's trip. Me, Marko and Zavier look forward to seeing you at the dock in the A.M. Looking forward to tomorrow's trip (Sat.) for a good bounce back. Thx., Capt. Scott
