Default Joey Tomatos Fishing Charters

My Cape Horn was down and needed some work but it is up and back now. But yesterday it wasn't ready and my friend and I heard the bite was on in the canyon so we decided to take his boat and do a canyon trip. He has a 32 foot Contender the same size as mine and it was just going to be me and him. We got the hots and we were off 4 AM and 102 NM's out. It was flat and when we arrived it was royal blue and flat. Loaded with Dolphin and Pilot whales but no Tuna. But plenty of Marlin. One boat had even said they had 15 Marlin strikes but not one hook up. On the other hand we landed one. First we thought it was a White when we saw it jump in the distance because but it ripped threw our line. It also bit different and and it sure seemed a lot stronger. I fought it for 45 minutes. I got it to the boat twice but when I saw the girth and the color it was no white. It was a pretty big Blue. On the second landing I saw that it was a foul hooked. We were not using circle hooks because we were tuna fishing and I did not like what I saw. So I loosen the drag and it was off. My buddy has it on video when I get it I will post it. You know I need proof. So I was thinking that there are plenty of Marlin and hopefully Tuna will be there soon. And next time we will rig for both. If the weather is right if someone wants to do this trip both Tuna and Marlin? $2000.00 for the boat but only for 4. We will leave at 3 AM and come back before dark. Give me a call Capt Joe 732-684-8739
My boat is also open for Fluke trips all this week and wreck combo. $110.00 a man 7 AM till 3PM. Includes all rigs and bait. 20 % gratuity for mate that will fillet your fish and bag it.
