Default tiger watching

you've heard of whale watching right...well fishinfool and i went out tiger watching yesterday haha. I have never ever seen so many muskie in my life and not had a single strike and only one complete follow to the boat. I've always read that tigers are more aggresive and easier to catch than pure strain...after 5-6 trips specifically targeting the muskie/pike hybrid, i have to DISAGREE!

pretty much every pure strain i've ever got to follow has come close enough for me to attempt a figure 8. yesterday we had probably half dozen come in behind the lures and most of them never came close enough to attempt a figure 8, they would just bail out.

I was using a big spinner bait i put together the night before and they just loved following it! Fishinfool threw the tackle box at them including some nice homemade lures. he had one come in close enough but never commit to a strike. I also had one in close enough that i didn't see till it was too late as i was trying to shake the weeds off my lure hahaha FAIL!

Every muskie we saw was in the pretty big, to huge range. we even saw 1 doing the porpoise thing as it was getting dark, pretty cool. thought we saw a second one way out too but can't be sure. we'll have to get back on them again soon! I might have to go for pure strains so i can actually hook something!
