My buddy posted this picture on facebook from this morning of a boat sinking in its slip in keyport.

Wow, that really does suck.... don't know the boat but I can tell you that it is the inside slip at Pedersons fuel dock.

that sucks I got that call back in 98 that my boat was sinking in its slip there in keyport great bunch of guys kept it afloat til my buddy could get there with the trailer to get it out a half dollar rot hole through the gimbal housing almost sank her that time.

talk about bad luck guy just put the boat in last weekend and the pole at his slip broke moved to the gas dock and got stuck under it and filled with water believe he said it was a 29 everglades just installed all new electronics.

Lost one of my boats in Keyport as we'll and just invested 25k for 2 brand new engines a month before. Only smart thing I did was uped the insurance when I bought the engines so a somewhat happy ending for me. I hope he has good insurance.

Btw there are 2 ways to insure your boat....Agreed to value and blue book value which is just like how cars do it. I've always thought the Agreed to value was better route, especially if you have made improvements to the boat. You assign a value you want to be insured for a pay your premium based on that. I never would have got the money I had spent on those new engines on a blue book value policy.

28 Everglades twin Yamaha 250s shame only underside of bow was above water when I drove by
