Default Had Enough Wind?

Hi Guys,

Sunday morning, just got home from church. Glad I went, needed to hear the message. I've been feeling pretty down with all this wind, cancelled a ton of trips this year, and when that happens, I'm not too pleasant to be around. Just ask my wife! The message at church reminded me I'm 80 years old and still able to do what I love, putting my guys on the meat. I forget to thank the Lord for all these years of health and strength, all the wonderful memories I have of all the fishing trips I've made in the last 60 years. I get upset with all the wind, not because of a day's pay I'm going to miss, but because I miss doing what I love. Yesterday was kind of a tough day, made about fifteen drops, and the best I could do was a pick. The combination of all the wind and the tough day really got to me. I was throwing things around and said a few choice words I haven't said in years. I reverted back to the old Tom Joseph, who I don't like very much. I would like to apologize to my guys for my behavior and pray they will not see that Tom Joseph again. Today I'm feeling much better, my focus is on the Lord and the blessings I have been given. Thank you, Jesus!

God Bless,
Captain Tom Joseph

Capt. I remember you telling me that your real passion was watching the guys catch the fish that you put them on. I also remember you getting hot when they weren't bitin, so I guess we all have to take the good with the bad. Tomorrow the sun will rise again, should be better. F.H.

Days like that the other day just makes you appreciate the better days even more. You can only worry about things you have control over, weather is not one of them. Do not sweat the small stuff. Having a passion for what you do and making a living at it is a true blessing.

I have never fished with you but love your passion after so many years at the helm . There are not many "old school" guys around anymore. You seem to care about your customers taking some meat home which is hard to do sometimes but atleast u give a damn and it's not just a pay check to you. Once again thanks for the great post it shows your character. Btw everyone has a bad day

Remember: if you think you're at your worst point in a time, it will only get better in the future from there. You have more respect than you know! Keep at it capt!
