Lightbulb Raritan river 11/6/13:

Went into Duke Island Park and fished the shale flats and pretty far down below that. Came back around and fished the big long deep pool below the falls all the way back down to the shale flats. No love. Really sucks when you fall down in November, dem shale flats are like walking on ice !!

Lol... So long as you're alright... It def makes for a story. Those shale flats are ROUGH. At the M&G in April, I almost went down a few times over there. Never fished that area so I wasnt aware. Seen some nasty falls on the rivers...

Lightbulb Re: Raritan river 11/6/13:

The reason I fished that area today was because of my log book. I wrote down in 2009 November 14 I caught 3 big rainbows below the shale flats and again on November 20 and 28 of 2009. Maybe a lot has changed in 4 years but I had to give it a try.

Rain is a key factor. How else are you gona know if fish washed down or swam up? Gotta write down everything. Maybe it rained the week before. Possibly a hurricane the month before put those fish there.
