Default Big Florida Red Fish

after a very poor week of fishing in this very cold Florida I was fishing in 45 degree temps from the beach today at St.Joe's Penuslia and was using a piesce of shrimp and caught me first ever Redfish it was 31" and weighted around 20lbs great big toad! after a quick pic it was returned to the water and swam off! awsum fish great battle! this is only the firast week of my florida trip man can it get any better!

I think more like 41" not 31" nice catch though.

Definitely looks 38"-40" also nice amount of spots. Would be a contender in a spot tourny.

Way to go!!! We have been dealing with the red tide from Ft Meyers up to Venice. Other than offshore trips, I have stayed in the Peace River where there are plenty of reds and trout, but none like that one!!! Congrats!!
