Default P River Smallie

Hit the river for about 2/3 hours tonight. Started off throwing a brand new crankbait I picked up today. Within the first 10 casts I wrestled in a nice chunk smallie. Little while later, decent pounder. Don't you LOVE immediate return on your investment!!!! Then things slowed a bit.

Would've moved on but there was a couple other anglers in my next spot so I stayed and switched over to livers. Still looking for a monster channel for the year. Got one biggun this spring but not a pb. Ended up with about 5 dinks (bulls and channels), and one pissed off eel. Awesome night out, barely any bug bites, lol.

Great spot but it gets a lot of pressure their. Nice smallies though. Try working downriver too I've pulled in a lot of smallies along that stretch this spring

Yeah, that's my old stomping grounds and shore fishing spot of last resort, lol. Way overfished, but still produces now and again, lol.

I agree... that spot is way over fished ................. Anything I catch is small dinks in that spot... they do get a lil bigger moving down river...
