Default Deep crappie
since i've been back from salmon country (for three days) very exited about fall fishing & trout stocking! been vertical jigging slab crappie from 25-30 feet some smallies mixed in. great action in the depths! the schools are coming!!!!

was on Hopatcong Saturday & Shwartswood sunday. same depths my buddy got one in the moving water not too long ago haven't seen too many...then again i've been working the jigs. usually got them on #1 spinners & small rapallas....like when i'm geared for trout and happen upon that spot and can't resist!

Good report, how big are the slabs? I've been catching some 12"-14" crappies late at night in my local reservoir.

Pulled out a few more tonight, biggest was 14 1/2" I have been using my old faithful set up for these, it never fails.
