![]() Anyone ever heard of Brooklyn Kayak Company?
They appear to be new on the scene but the price point and features of the Riptide model have me intrigued. Sit on top with a rudder and standup capability for $600 wholesale locally in Middlesex County. http://brooklynkayakcompany.com/products/kayak-models/ Thanks in advance Squatch

U got a lead on a second one for 600$? Bass pro has the ascend 10 and 12t Slightly less feature rich, similar price point. Buddy got a sit in , no complaints. Seat is super comfy. I'm heavy, I like the sit ons. Feel free is similarly apportioned, but closer to 1000 But yea I would buy that for 600$ in a heart beat. |

![]() A guy that fishes Farrington has one and we got to talking about it one day. He's about my size (I'm 6'1" and almost 200) and he said standing is a stretch and that its slow- he wishes it was a longer platform.
For what its worth, I have a ride 135 and I got a vibe seaghost 130 this year (similar features). It's a little more but for what they run it impressed the hell out of me. I can stand, fish all day, great storage, you name it. You ever want to test it out, let me know. |

![]() It depends on what you want and what you are willing to spend. Longer is faster, heavier and tracks better. It seems like every brand has a pedal drive but that adds $$$. Pelican is a good value but you have to add the bells and whistles. Hobbies have devoted followers but aren't cheap. Wilderness Systems, Ocean Kayak, NuCanoe and Jackson are the big brands and they make serviceable stuff. I have a NuCanoe Frontier 10 with a Minn-Kota 40# on it. Very, very stable with lots of room for stuff. It needs the motor. It's a bear to paddle. It suits me well,in the smaller electric lakes but I took it down the Delaware once and that was really bad idea.
