Default Rainy night stripes

Had an action packed weekend planned so had to squeeze in a late night zombie trip friday night. Kept an eye on the radar and gambled that the heavy storms would pass by the time I got to the ramp. Sure enough as soon as I got on 78, the skies opened up and as soon as I got off, the monsoon stopped. Scooped up Jeremy and we were on our way into the darkness. The Herring started their spawn late and didn't start popping until after midnight. Bounced around a few spots before we found busting 'brids. Had nice action from 1am-4am and left them biting, ending up with a dozen or so rocket bass, all 19"-23" and 1 nice lmb. All fish released.

Yeaaaaa buddy. Lotta action. Glad we made the wiggle and scored. It was bananas in that spot with fish exploding all around us. Balmy warm and screaming drags! My thumbs are rashed nicely and my plugs need new hooks! Hoping it lasts a few more weeks. The herring don't appear to be slowing down yet!
