Buying new boat help
I am trying to buy a new or newer boat soon. My max price is $25,000 with financing. Id like a 20-22 ft center console. I have been looking at seahunt boats and really like them. What recommendations on brands and dealerships do you guys have.

Re: Buying new boat help
Sea Hunt makes a great hull. NJ Outboards in Bayville is the biggest dealer around.

Re: Buying new boat help
Look in DE for O/B's. You cant touch the prices and worth the drive. And no sales tax

Re: Buying new boat help
I have had many boats over the years, while a brand new boat is always nice, a lightly used well taken care of boat gets you much more bang for the buck in my opinion. most Outboard come with a transferable warranty and can last 1000's of hours if maintained. I have 232 Grady 1988 but I repowered with a new 300 Suzuki, and put in new gas tank with New electronics including a auto pilot. I think I have 32/34k wrapped up including a trailer. I am not saying this is a perfect machine, but hull is solid and from fuel tank to motor is new and controls are also. Just my opinion. You can get one heck of a ride for 25-30k if you are patient and look. I would search inland so it is a fresh water boat. FWIW. Good luck and be safe .

What BC said ^^^^
Don't be in a hurry and take your time until you find the right boat with the right engines and take a pass on all the others. When you find the right one pounce on it quickly because if it is the right boat with the right engines at the right price it will sell quickly...

Re: Buying new boat help
have you priced them out? a new sea hunt in that size will cost twice your max spending limit.

Re: Buying new boat help
yea i have been pricing them out past few days. pain in the ass pricing them out almost no one lists the price and then when you request a quote they dont leave you alone lol. I had to raise my price range up a decent bit. I talked to one dealer for a bit he said I need a $500 deposit to start the financing paper work. Is that normal? I have a brand new truck and didnt have to do that when i got it
