Default Overpeck Creek Tips?

I'm thinking about throwing some lines out in Overpeck county park today after work. I've never fished there before so I'm wondering what would be the best to throw. Any tips are welcome! I'm gonna try some spinners and spoons but I don't know if they'll produce anything. I've read the creek can get stripers, shad, bass and carp. Anyone have any experience here?

Not quite sure yet, I might not even go today. If i did it would probably be near the fishing pier or the bridge over the water there.
