Pequest Open House alert

Due to excessive snow cover and resulting poor condition of the grounds at the Pequest Trout Hatchery, the Open House has been rescheduled from April 1 and 2 to June 3 and 4. The new date will coincide with National Fishing and Boating Week, which runs from June 3 – 11, and the June 10 Free Fishing Day.

it's pretty squishy over there even when there isn't melting snow around. i usually go and was looking forward to it, but probably the right call. hope that they get a good vendor turnout in june still

I heard that as well , not a good move ! Prior to trout season use to bring out many peeps due to trout season around the corner , not so in June !

that's a real bummer. was really looking foward to it. take the kids there every year. our annual spring tradition. my kids love fishing the education pond. won't be able to do june as i have trips already planned.
