![]() For me any way
![]() Sunday morning was tough for everyone... Hardly any bites so we made some small moves and one big move and still nothing... Went back to the first spot where we had a least a little life and started with a slow pick which built into some decent life. I'd say we had 30 plus fish, nothing big, most around 3 to 4 pounds. I'd said we and should have said they... Joe and Tim did well, Art plucked a few here and there.... Me, insert the sunrise pick... I stunk it up big time. Tried my hand at jigging, nada... Switched to regular rigs, nada.... I got a bit frustrated and relaxed most of the afternoon. Well, that's Togging... Hopefully next time out someone else will be the goat.

![]() Hey Gerry, I know you guys are pro's but I have noticed that the bite has been really good on the first sight of the sun. We have been killing em of Long Branch. I have been anchored in the dark and waiting for it to rise, sounds crazy but I love it. I have been at the barn little after ten every time. Sunday greens and whites worked same and bite died by ten.

![]() Thanks Man. I like to wait until we have light to run. We have the issue of all the pots in the bay on our way out. Last week we actually had pots right in the channel.
These pots can really do some damage too... On our last boat it costs us over $12 K to have the drive replaced after running one over. Lucky the insurance picked up some of it.

![]() In my very limited experience, it's surprising how tide-dependent the tog bite can be, at least in the areas I fished. A slow pick of scratchy bites here and there, to an all-out "blitz" of 23 fish in under an hour, literally as fast as you can drop a jig down and get slammed.
There's definitely a lot to figure out with togging! Quote:
