![]() Knowing that I couldn't make the m&g, I decided to try for hybrids last weekend (October 30). Boated around for a while and found some good marks in 37 feet of water--managed one hybrid and three panfish in 3 hrs of fishing with livers. Water temp was 57 degrees, still pretty warm so hoping it picks up. Yesterday I hit the Passaic. Are rivers supposed to have water in them? Finally landed my first pike of the year on a spinnerbait. Last year I had good success on pike but this year was way off for me for some reason, so good to finally connect.

![]() Congrads on the pike! I usually go pike fishing in the passaic at least once a year and get about one pike or so. This year I wasn't able to go there unfortunately. It's an awesome river for those fish!
Hybrids are something i still have to seriously attempt in my kayak. I've got a few small ones on lures or livers at night from shore. Sounds like luck plays a big part even on a boat with a fishfinder.. nice job finding and catching that hybrid bass! |
