Thumbs up Upper Delaware river 10/14, 10/15:

Went up on Friday and beat up the banks in Callicoon, Hankins, Lordville and Hancock, did ok. Total for the day was 2 Brown Trout and 3 Rainbow trout. Musta dropped 5 or so other fish.

Saturday was float trip day with Wilson. Massive water release made the West Branch float able but unfishable do to all the shmutz in the water, plus it want to choco milk. We floated the main stem lower from Kellems Bridge to Callicoon and did well on Rainbows and a handful of SMB.

Why we started at the West Branch when the water release went from 160 cfm to 1400 cfm in one day is a little baffling

Was 28 degrees, damp and cold. Saw an Eagle land in a tree top 100 feet from me. That was the highlight for the early AM. Picked up from the West Branch and moved to the main stem...right move. Pretty good day after the move, it finally warmed up a little and the wind laid down. I guess we had about 10 Trout and hand full of SMB landed and a few drops..
The first two photos are the before!
