The calm before the storm.....I had Jay and the boys out for a two day fluke trip this past Friday and Saturday. Fishing was excellent with nice fluke coming over the rails all day. We caught many fish in the 5-8 lb on our way to achieving our boat limit both days. Pool fish for the two days goes to Rob and his 10.6 lb doormat! Monica tried to over take him with a 8.9 lb fluke ( her personal best)!

We have a few days off because of the storm but will be back on the grounds shortly! We still have open dates if anyone wants to get in on some cod jigging or Rhode Island Blackfish.

A-Team getting it done on today's Nantucket fluke trip! It was steady action all day with over 70 keepers caught but only keeping our boat limit of 35 choice fish! The pool goes to Rob with a beautiful 10.3 lb doormat! Rocco added a 8.7 lb fluke and Gene had an 8 as well!

Nice Job Jeff putting my friend Rob on a Double Digit. He is a great guy and a great fisherman as he puts in his time and is always willing to help his fellow anglers. Well Deserved.

For those looking to get some blackfish in before the seasons opens up in NJ.
If you have not fished in RI for Blackfish fishing you are missing out on a great fishery. Been doing it now for about 25 years as they have a great fishery up there. Very little pressure with many quality fish in the 4-8 lb range with always a chance at a double digit. Caught a 13.8 and a 10.6 last year up there. The bite up there is insane. Well worth the trip to get your togging skills honed in before we start up in NJ. I have found the last week in October and first 3 weeks in Nov to be prime time. Have 5 trips in RI this year so i am raring to get togging.
