![]() WOW...been lurking here for the past 4 months without a report. Between 60-70 hours working for the past 4 months and sever sciatica pain in my left leg....I haven't been in my kayak for months ! Going for my 3rd epidural spine shot on Thursday and just praying this one works....UGH !!
Well the pain pills were making me feel just OK...yesterday before the rain and I hit a very easy launch spot for 2 hours. Plenty of action with clear water conditions and 4 pike, 2 bass and a perch landed. All the pike looked good and all in the 30 inch range. Feeling just OK again this morning after the pills kicked in and hit the river again, in the same area, but fished different pools. The water was not nearly as clear and it was up almost a foot from yesterday afternoon. Didn't have as much action, but landed a couple, missed a few and lost a good one. Thanks for all the pictures and reports over the past few months........just glad to have something to report ! ![]() ![]() ![]() Danny V |

![]() nice fish dan. feel better man. did they give you exercises to do? I started getting a little of that shooting pain, no where near what you're experiencing, but some counter resistance hamstring stretching every night for about a week pretty much totally alleviated it

![]() Epidural injections and nerve blocks have diminishing returns. You'll need them more and more frequently as time passes. Same with the meds. Look into physical therapy and acupuncture. Sciatica pain is no joke and the avenues of non surgical relief vary in effectiveness on a case by case basis. Spinal decompression and inversion tables can aid in relief. So can yoga...
While I don't suffer from sciatica I'm just about bone on bone in my cervical spine with degenerative disc disease. When it flares up it can take me 45 min just to get out of bed. Rough for a 33 yr old. I'm holding off on surgery until I'm comfortable with the technology. But kudos for coping and banging some fish dude. Many of us unfortunately feel your pain! Mine goes away temporarily when I fish!
