Porgy
Taking a bunch of neighborhood kids fishing along with a few dads for moral support. None of the dads are fisherman. Im thinking bottom fishing is the best bet. Worry about drifting all of the lines off the side of the boat so ill probably throw the anchor.
Any porgy near Sandy Hook? All fish will be going back to swim another day. Option B is sea bass on some spots I use. Just thought porgy would be more fun. Do I have to run out to the mud buoy? |

Re: Porgy
Tons of porgies inside the bay and inshore on the ocean. By bug light, on the knoll, on old orchard and West Bank as well. A lot of shorts, but a few keepers in the mix as well. Inside by big light we had the most keepers and some bigger ones around 12-14 inches mixed in

Re: Porgy
No problem. Idle slow through the area, mark some on the fish finder, anchor up and drop some clams and you should be set

Re: Porgy
Put a chum pot on your anchor or heavily weight one down off your transom. It'll keep the fish around longer!
