Today, we fished outside of our inlet. We started fishing in the bunkers and started jigging blues immediately. Fishing just got better and better as the day went on. We held 1-2 fish on with up to 4-5 fish on at times with an occasional lull. The blues ranged from 6-12 lbs and we caught them on ava 47’s and crocs. We read scattered readings and made long drifts. A few had their limits today along with others approaching their limits when I spoke with Captain Lenny earlier today. We are the only bluefish boat out there today and we are wrecking them! This is a HUGE improvement from what it has been and it looks like the fish are here and ready to bite!
