Late report here.
Hauled the boat with my new truck

and got to the pond @ 7 am and was the second to launch.
Started fishing on a main hump and connected with a very large white perch. Caught a couple of dink LMB and a nice pickerel and moved to the back. Nothing happening there so moved back to mid-pond with the sun well up and caught a decent LMB @ 1.5 lbs and then found a school of crappie...think I caught the whole school as it was non-stop action for ~2 hours on ultra light tackle. Also in the mix was a SUPER-SIZED pickerel that was peeling drag on my 2 lb test outfit. Released him successfully. Also caught a few yellow perch, one bluegill, and a couple of smaller white perch.
Not a LMB fest, yet, but for the first trip of 2016 I caught lots of fish!
