Eyes on tax day 4-15-16
Get a call from mikey Topaz around 7 and again around 9 last night. "Wanna go?" Sure! Let's give it a go! We timed it pretty good and met on a big Lake around 1130. Buzzed some doughnuts to warm the motor up and off we went.
Hit a handful of spots and pretty much got fish or strikes everywhere we went. I stuck 8 eyes up to 20ish inches. Mikey had a few but missed some short strikes. He also nailed one of the biggest yellow perch ive ever seen--easily 15-15.5". Looked like it swallowed a jumbo chicken egg! Some were demolishing the baits, others were pecking. Switch hit around 2 am and we called a quits shortly after. Prob had 10 or 11 fish between us.
Good to get my 1st eyes of the yr. Thanks for the invite mikey! Lake was a sheet of glass, too. Not even a farts worth of breeze. A bit o fish porn for ya... catch em up!
